Beauregard Manor is a refurbished 18th-century mansion owned and operated by the Saint-Cyr family. Set on a hill near the village of Sainte-Anne and Martinique’s best beaches, the marvelous inn is furnished in antiques and surrounded by lush gardens. The main house has three large guest rooms, and the annex has eight, including a fascinating tower room. Each is air-conditioned and has one or two four-poster beds, private bath and a view of the gardens. A swimming pool sits adjacent to the manor house, and a separate building holds a large restaurant with a vaulted wood-beam ceiling and French doors that open out to the gardens and pool. Even if you don’t stay at the inn, plan to come for the festive Créole buffet, served Sundays from noon until 5pm.
